Gobind Bhawan Karyalaya and Gita Press do not solicit financial donations from any individual or organisation. This policy has been maintained without exception since the founding of the trust in 1923.
Why
All charitable activities of the trust are entirely self-sustaining. Books are published and sold at cost; surpluses fund the free shelter, free food, free Ayurvedic clinics, and gurukul education. The trust does not depend on, accept solicitations for, or run fundraising campaigns of any kind.
Anyone soliciting in our name
Report immediately
If anyone, in person, by phone, by email, or via WhatsApp or social media, solicits donations in the name of Gobind Bhawan Karyalaya, Gita Press, Gita Bhawan, Kalyan, or any of our institutions, please report it immediately to the registered office in Kolkata. Verified channels
- Books are sold only through Gita Press's own depots, agents, and a small number of authorised retailers.
- Pilgrim accommodation at Gita Bhawan is allotted at the registered Rishikesh office. No payment is taken online.
- Ayurvedic medicines are dispensed free at our five clinics. No online sale, no remote prescription.
